For Bay area residents

I always thought that people buying dry food and water because they were afraid of terrorists were... taking a little too many precautions. Now, after looking at New Orleans, I am thinking of the same to prepare for a possible Bay area earthquake. You can't evacuate for a quake.

Не тушенка, а вода. Если я умру, то мне, конечно, уже ничего не поможет. А вот если останусь в живых - вода очень даже поможет, потому что будет то же самое, что сейчас в Новом Орлеане.

Я не про это. Я говорю что запасы хороши когда до них можно добраться. В конце концов, некоторые люди в Питере пережили блокадную зиму благодаря заранее купленным дровам.
Если ты выживешь, но запас воды будет под бетонной плитой, оно мало поможет (если ты не дай Б-г будешь под ней же).
А в принципе мысль правильная. У меня дома с войны в заливе были консервы и питье на несколько дней.

this is similar to what people who stayed in Nola thought - if they die it doesn't matter but if they live it will all be taken care of -look at them now!
I'm seriously thinking of buying supplies too - precisely because I thought things like this could never happen in this country.

I don't know, maybe the precautions were in the paper, but the introduction they wrote before.
